When asked about Sir Jack’s participation, Davson responded, “Sir Jack Brabham first became involved with me in doing his handprint to assist endangered species awareness in 1993. We had erratic contact for the next decade. Then at the Grand Prix in Melbourne in 2005, he agreed to give further handprints to assist with world peace and environmental causes I was supporting. Soon afterwards, we met at his home on
the Gold Coast where I painted his hand for this autographed handprint.
“We discussed the fact that I would be painting on board and creating works of art with his handprints to help various causes. It was in this meeting that he became a Patron
of my work, world peace and environmental activities.
“It was only in 2009, that I started creating the art to go with the handprints. It is an honour to work with such esteemed people. I can only hope the winner of this artwork will continue to make efforts to help our Earth to Win.”
